Hi! I’m Mia, and I’m no stranger to the struggle of losing weight. In fact, I have a long history with dieting, and it’s filled with ups and downs. Over the years, I’ve read all I could find on the subject. Some things were science-based and logical; others were as crazy as they come. Because let’s face it, most of us are looking for shortcuts when it comes to losing weight.

We have that little voice inside our mind telling us there has to be an easier way to do this. No matter how many times we hear that the best weight loss recipe is eating healthy food and burning more calories than we ingest, we always hope we discover a quick fix.

Why? Because being on a diet sucks. It feels frustrating and unfair, and we don’t want to do it. And going from eating what we like to something as gross as broccoli isn’t helping. Hence, the name of my blog – Broccoli Sucks!

But All Is Not Lost!

My point is that we all have one diet ingredient that seems just too disgusting to add to our plates. It’s one compromise we’re not willing to make. And you know what? That’s ok; you can lose weight and get healthier through so many different ways; there’s no need to torture yourself.

And I’ve checked a lot of challenges along the way. From a busy schedule and no time for thorough meal prepping to pregnancy and getting closer to 40, it all made losing weight increasingly difficult. Not to mention I have quite an aversion to sports. And yet, I found it’s possible to get back in shape and feel better, as long as you learn to separate the solid tips from deceiving and possibly harmful pieces of information.

So let’s put the sucky broccoli aside and find the best way to get slimmer and have more energy. It’s a personal journey, and what works for me doesn’t apply to everyone. But I’ll lay out everything I feel is essential on this topic, and I bet some of it will be right up your alley.

In the hope that you like what you see, I’m looking forward to getting your feedback. If you want to get in touch with me, the social media links will be available soon. For now, you can also send me your thoughts at broccoli.gross@gmail.com.
